1. LG Electronics GP10NB20

By WinCrazy from near Philthydelphia, PA on Aug 15, 2011

USB optical and hard drives DON'T NEED DRIVERS, SO, THERE ARE'NT ANY. (Flash drives of all types have drivers supplied by the operating system.) That this drive "doesn't work" on a Mac is strange, but I expect some "pilot error" as the actual problem.

2. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU HAVE A MAC

By Simon Farnsworth from UK on May 1, 2011

Despite saying taht this drive is mac compatible - it isn't.

Take a look on any of the discussion sites. The unit comes with no Mac software drivers at all and it isn't plug&play either.

I wrote an email to LG support and they suggested looking on the Apple site! (there arent any drivers there either by the way)

after hours of trying to resolve the problem using various writing software - including Toast 10 - I still cant get it to work, or find a driver for it.

Mine will be going back for a full refund, and I will be asking Trading standards to get LG to remove the "Mac compatible" statement from their packaging as it isn't fit for purpose in that respect.
